Blessing of the Animals
October 8 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
In celebration of the Feast of St. Francis, we are hosting a BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS during our 10 AM worship on Oct 8th. All creatures great and small are welcome, regardless of their (and their owners) faith journey.
We will gather at 10 AM on the lawn for worship. If it rains the Blessing will be moved to our parish hall.
All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier. If your pet is shy or nervous, or tends to get a little feisty around others, please bring a picture rather than your animal to avoid undo stress to them and others.
There will also be a place for names and pictures of our beloved pets who are in the arms of God. Let us gather and give thanks for all of God’s creatures.
** for those seeking a quieter worship experience, you may with to consider joining for our 8AM service in the chapel (which will be animal free.)
Whoever you are, wherever you find yourself on life’s journey, and whatever questions dwell in your heart, you are welcome here. Whatever your race, class, sexuality, beliefs, or talents, we hope that you join us in the radical hospitality of God’s table.
