Safe Church Training

St Stephen’s will host Safe Church Training immediately following worship. Lunch is provide.

Training is required for some. Recommended for ALL.

As followers of Christ, we all share responsibility for creating safe spaces in our worshipping communities. The Episcopal Church in CT’s Safe Church policies & training are grounded in our baptismal call to “seek and serve Christ in all persons and respect the dignity of every human being.”

Safe Church is a requirement of The Episcopal Church for all ordained persons, adults who minister with minors, youth in leadership roles, & adults who minister with vulnerable humans. Safe Church practices include training, background checks, & audits.

Once training is complete, certification lasts for three year.
