  of Jesus: A Beginner's Guide to Holy Week\, author\, professor\, and bi
 blical scholar Amy-Jill Levine delves into the history and literature su
 rrounding the last days of Jesus' life. Levine sets the narrative in his
 torical context and analyzes the risks and motives of the story's charac
 ters. From Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem to his prayer agony in 
 Gethsemane\, Levine brings forward aspects and details that open doors f
 or beginners as well as seasoned readers of the Bible.\nAmy-Jill Levine 
 is a Professor of New Testament &amp\; Jewish Studies at Vanderbilt Divi
 nity School. She is also the co-editor of the Jewish Annotated New Testa
 ment.
