Harvest House

Harvest House is a ministry for all people; whether you hunger for food or you hunger for community, all are fed here.

Harvest House is a community meal hosted by St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. We serve meals every Sunday from 5pm to 6pm.

This ministry has been operating for over 15 years and is sustained by St. Stephen’s church and numerous East Haddam community organizations. Different groups host the dinner each week and provide a freshly prepared, warm meal and dessert. Meals are no charge and donations to support this outreach mission are accepted.

Let us handle the cooking and cleaning while you enjoy connecting with friends around the table! Everyone is invited and there’s even space for kids to burn off that after dinner energy. If you’re interested in helping to host the weekly dinner, please contact the church office for more information.

Harvest House is made possible by hard-working teams from all over our community: church groups, political organizations, civic groups, and even just teams of family and friends who prepare and serve the meal every week.

Support Harvest House

We estimate it costs around $140 each week to purchase the food served at Harvest House every Sunday. That cost is largely carried by the various volunteer teams and, where applicable, their sponsoring organizations. You can donate to support Harvest House and know that your money will help to reimburse our volunteer teams for the cost of food, as well as purchase the materials that are necessary to run Harvest House year round (paper goods, cleaning supplies, and staple food items such as milk & butter).
