A Note from Rev. Erin
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. What has come into being in him was life, and the life was the light of all people. And, the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it. – John 1:1-5
Beloved, as we enter into the Advent season and all the hustle and bustle, you are invited to come a rest at St Stephen’s — to pray, to sing, and to remember that at the center of it all is the LIGHT OF THE WORLD.
You were made of the goodness of God for God’s great joy! You are enough and you are worthy of peace and love. If you are looking for a Spiritual home, please know that you would be most welcome at St. Stephen’s whether you have been to church a millions times or never before — we invite you to come and discover God’s promises to our weary world.
Let us join together and prepare to welcome Jesus into our lives once again.
In peace & joy,
Rev Erin
Rector at St Stephen’s Episcopal Church

Advent 1 – Nov. 30
On the first Sunday of Advent both 8 am and 10 am worship services will combine our traditional Communion service with a service for healing. You are welcome to participate in a way that feels right to you – you may come forward for prayer or you may choose to kneel/sit in prayer at your pew. You can pray for yourself, friends, family, strangers, or the world. There is no wrong way to pray and ask for God’s help. All are welcome.
Are you not able to join us but would like our prayer team to pray for you? Send a prayer to office@ststeves.org.

Advent 11 – Dec. 7
8 am Morning Prayer with Communion
10 am Holy Eucharist with Choir
Join us for a peaceful worship service with Advent carols at 10am and Communion at both services. Stay for coffee hour and nourish your body for the day ahead.

Advent 111 – Dec. 14
No 8 am service
10 am Paper Bag Pageant
Second Sundays are especially for families! Join us on 12/14 at 10 am for a multigenerational pageant complete with props and singing. Then stay afterwards for a bit of festive fun!

Advent 1V – Dec. 21
No 8 am service
10 am Celtic Lessons & Carols
Lessons & Carols is a time-honored tradition at St Stephen’s Episcopal Church. This service will have a Celtic flair as it will weave together traditional carols along with tunes from the Irish and Scottish traditions, led by St. Stephen’s choir accompanied by an Irish ensemble – back by popular demand! Come in out of the cold and join us for meaningful worship and music.

Christmas Eve – Dec. 24
10:30 pm Carol Sing: Our Christmas Eve service will begin at 10:30 pm with a Carol Sing. Come early, shout out your favorite carol, and join in joyful singing.
11 pm Midnight Mass: Our candlelit Eucharist will begin at 11 pm with traditional music led by our choir. The service will conclude at midnight with bells ringing as we proclaim, “Joy to the World, the Lord is Come”. Bring your jingle bells and ring out the Good News of Christ to all the world.
Children of all ages are welcome. The littlest among us are invited to bring a favorite lovey and come in pjs. There will be space in the chapel for them to spread out on their blanket if they are sleepy and need more space. Their little noises are precious and a reminder that our Lord and Savoir, Jesus Christ, entered this world as a baby. All are welcome.
