Blessing of the Animals

In celebration of the Feast of St. Francis, we are hosting a Blessing of the Animals during our 10 a.m. worship on Oct 5th. All creatures great and small are welcome, regardless of their (and their owner’s) faith journey.
We will gather at 10 a.m. on the lawn for worship. If it rains the Blessing will be moved to our parish hall.
All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier. If your pet is shy or nervous, or tends to get a little feisty around others, please bring a picture rather than your animal to avoid undo stress to them and others.
There will also be a place for names and pictures of our beloved pets who are in the arms of God. Let us gather and give thanks for all of God’s creatures.
** for those seeking a quieter worship experience, you may wish to consider joining for our 8 a.m. service in the chapel (which will be animal free.)
